Culture Night was the brainchild of Gráinne Millar which she kick-started in 2006 in Dublin with 40 national cultural institutions, €20k seed funding from the Department of Arts, Heritage and Gaeltacht (DAHG), attracting 40,000 for a late night cultural experience.
Airfield is a 38 acre urban working farm located in Dundrum, Dublin that opened as a visitor centre in 2008 for the purpose of recreation and education. In 2011, Airfield closed to the public to facilitate an €11m capital development programme to secure Airfield’s future.
