Gráinne Millar

 

MBS, HDip (Project Management), HDip (Arts Admin), BA (Hons)

 

Gráinne is Director and Senior Consultant with GM Innovations. Before entering consultancy. Gráinne held a number of leadership and senior management roles including Head of Strategy at Temple Bar Properties, with responsibilty for the development of Ireland’s first tourism cluster. . During this time she established and developed the critically acclaimed Culture Night into an all-island network in partnership with the Department of Arts, Culture and Tourism. She later when on to manage the re-development and re-opening of Airfield Estate.

 

Gráinne is a specialist in strategy, innovation and evaluation. She is a business mentor with Enterprise Ireland and Fáilte Ireland. She is an independent evaluator for a range of Enterprise Ireland investment panels and is an independent expert on the SOPHIA Project. Gráinne is a qualified Cluster Benchmarking Expert qualified Project Manager with the Institute of Project Management.

 

In 2013 she completed her Masters of Business at the Irish Management Institute where her thesis focused on Understanding the Critical Success Factors in Creative Clusters. She has represented the Irish Government on key European Commission working groups and was nominated to the Dublin City of Science Public Engagement Working Group. She is a Council Member of the Irish Film Institute. Gráinne has contributed articles to The Irish Times, Irish Independent and specialist publications.

Laurence Knell

 

MSc (Mgmt) BA (Hons)

 

Laurence Knell has over 20 years’ experience working in the consultancy, technology and transportation sectors in Ireland, Europe and Australia delivering organizational change, strategic realignment and innovation. He is a director of Strategic Innovation Partners, a Dublin-based consultancy, and a co-founder of Brain for Business, an initiative bringing together practical insights from the world of behavioural and brain science to deliver better business practice and outcomes.

 

Laurence has worked internationally with leaders and executives in a wide-range of sectors including technology, transportation, finance, pharmaceutical, FMCG, and agri-business with companies such as Maersk, Microsoft and Insights, He has worked in an advisory capacity with organisations ranging from Irish SMEs and multinationals through to semi-state and statutory bodies.

 

Laurence is an Associate Lecturer on the Open University Business School’s Triple-Accredited MBA program, teaching in the areas creativity, innovation and management. He also works closely with the OU’s Executive Education team and Centre for Police Research and Learning. Laurence is an Adjunct Lecturer with Trinity Business School and Associate with the Irish Management Institute teaching. He is accredited in the use of a number of leading psychometrics including Insights Discovery and the Thomas PPA and has used these extensively in his work with leaders and teams.
